Re: Toronto gets 2015 Pan-Am games Don't really care about the games per se, but it may help the city get its head out of its ass in the long run in terms of affordable housing and more infrastructure investment.

very not impressed.
i guess i'll need to hurry up and buy a condo/house before then, because i'm sure it'll just lead to property tax increases shortly thereafter as the city goes "wow, where did that huge debt come from?" while faced with the costs of continuing to run a giant pool complex.

Speeding up the desperately needed improvements on the TTC, the building of affordable housing a la the athletes village, lots of new stadiums and sports complexes... A revamp of Toronto in general.
The giant pools are going in UofT, by the way, so they'll be left with having to take care of them.
