Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I'm still saddened and shocked, I've met Adrian a couple times at various metal fests. I didnt get a chance to hang out with him as much as many here have and for that I'm truly envious of all of you.

R.I.P. Bunnyman!!! I didn't know him but from what i can gather from this thread and the many years of posting, we lost another great human being too young. As cliche as it is, I will now quote one of the greatest band of all time (I feel it's apropriate):
Only the good die young All the evil seems to live forever Only the good die young All the evil seems to live forever Only the good die young Only the good die young

Today, I'm a little more upbeat. It's amazing the power that this man had on this board. He really did bring everyone together. All I feel on this board is love right now. This board has gone through some rough times. There have been many a crappy days. But today, this board has never shined brighter under such unfortunate circumstances. I feel reconnected with some of you. It's too bad it had to be this way. I will do everything I can to be there in the GTA on January 17th. I will be in contact with fellow BBers that have befriended me. Even the Energizer befriended me...just a peon of a math teacher that loves metal. I have nothing to do with the music industry at all, but there he was...every two weeks on the phone checking up on the Metal_King. FUCK! I'm getting all emotional again...time to bail out. That is really amazing M_K....I hope you can make it up here as well,it would be an honour meeting you. Today I thought a lot about Adrian,I told my Mom about what happened and it looks like she is going to come to the memorial too. When I was telling her what happened I almost broke down on the phone. Even though I didnt know him as well as some of you people.I will miss not being able to work with him again. Winston,I read your post about the donantions and I really want to do this but I was going to donate at the memorial....is that too late???

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
RIP Adrian, what an amazing supporter of metal. I've always loved his writing. Always on the positive side, or at least the encouraging side. Unrestrained! is the best mag in metal and I can't imagine how it can continue without his presence. Very sad news. Blessings to all who knew him personally, family, friends, etc. It is tough losing someone as special as he. I will toast to him and play some metal very loud this weekend. I will probably cry a little too.... Cheers to you, Mr. Bromley! Thank you!

I didn't know Adrian as well as many of you did. What I do know was he was a hell of a good guy that can't be replaced. I wish all of his family and friends my deepest condolences. RIP Bunnyman

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I only met Adrian once, when I came to Toronto with Thomas for DOTE II. He was extremely nice, and I remember thinking how full of energy he was. (I guess that's why he was called "The Energizer"? ) He would call Thomas and I from time to time for immgration advice, and we'd always try to help him out. I can only imagine how the people who are very close to him feel. He was a great guy from what I knew of him, and I'd like to think that he's in a perfect place now, rocking out somewhere with all the greats surrounded by an endless pile of vinyl.

Whenever I would be planning to go down to Toronto, he would call me directly at work within a few minutes of talk on the internet about it. He would just call just to chat and to confirm that I was coming and vaguely make plans on what to do when I was there.

When I was at his place, he would call Yosemite Sam a suck because he would always cuddle up to me, and never to him.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
In attempt to keep myself busy i decided to put together the new cd shelves that came in the mail this week together. It seemed fitting since probably half of my cds are from Ade over the years. But it reminded me of something i had completely forgotten.
years ago, on one of the first times i stayed at Ade's place he had his own bathroom. Lets just say it wasn't the cleanest bathroom i had ever seen. I offered to clean it and he wouldn't have it. He talked to his roomie at the time and asked if i could use her bathroom while i stayed. He said since i was in the mood to clean i could organize his cds if i wanted...told me if there was anything i wanted to just ask. So i went through one huge cd rack and alphabetized the cds. Every now and again i would ask for a cd and he would say "nah i love that one" and start giggling like a maniac. I continued organizing and he continued emailing and calling people. After I got through one case and he said no to every cd i said i gave up. He smiled and said thanks, and then reached to a stack of cds on his desk and said "here i pulled these aside for you earlier, i thought you might dig them."

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
HAHAh right on Lynne. total Adrian move right there.
I used to work 4 day weeks, and had fridays off, so I'd usually go over to adrians and hang out, drive him to do errands and stuff.
I always ended up going through PILES of cd;s and sorting them while he was doing his usual email/phone/play halfsongsfrombandafterbad/torment Jimmy etc.
somehow, I;d always get conned into watching some dvd/tc series. so i coul d " see how fuckign amazing it was" I soon realised that was like Adrians secret way to take a nap. 5 mins into some show, and you'd slowly hear the snoring levels get louder. And yet he;'d be passed out and would still tell you all about the show/series.
And then call Wiley 'Fuckface"
