When I arrived at home last night, I just cried my eyes out. I nearly lost it a couple of times heading home. Still can't believe that he's gone. I've never lost anyone this close before. I wish this was just a bad dream, as my head hurts thinking about this. Fuck, I miss you much already, Adrian.

You guys are forgetting that Zeke called me while we were in the casino getting the US dollars converted to Canadian. Zeke got about 5 words out before security jumped all over me for having a cell phone in there and told me to turn it off. So when Adrian called us the first time when we were on the road to say Zeke was detained in Customs, we started freaking out that the earlier call was his "one phone call" and Zeke was screwed. He had us going for about 5 minutes until he called back cracking up.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
When crossing the US border when going to CMF 2 in 2002, we were headed for Buffalo to meet with Dave (ANGEL1ZER). Adrian phoned him to say that we were closing in. Adrian started talking to him, and then suddenly he yelled "watch out for the truck!!!!" and hung up immediately. That must have been pretty freaky for ANGEL1ZER (Adrian let about a minute go by before calling him back.) That was a bit dangerous because I was driving and he hadn't warned me, so I "jumped" and said "what truck? What the fuck man!" Good thing I didn't lose control of the car.

Man, what terrible news...
I never did meet the "bunny" in person, but had some great email exchanges with him. Obviously a guy who lived life to its fullest, and we are now worse off without him. All of my thoughts and prayers go to his family and to his friends.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
My thoughts are with everyone who knew him well. I too was shocked to hear this, only this morning. I personally am dealing with the loss of a good friend who passed away a few weeks ago at age 25, there currently is no cause of death, we are all waiting for toxicology to come back with some answers..hopefully. Anyway, enough of me thread jacking... I remember years and years ago during the days of the old ezboard Adrian called me out of the blue (I didn't remember giving him my number but I guess I did) only to ask me if I was coming to Toronto to see the Entombed/Immortal show (which ended up being canned anyway). I think the purpose of the call had something to do with me somehow knowing the show was happening before it was announced. But other than that all my MPB dealings were over this here board. Its great see how much he meant to so many people. Again, I know it cliche, but it always takes something like this for everyone appreciate the people around them. So I'd just like to say cheers and take care to you all (especially the old school boarders I've lost contact with...)

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
It's just starting to sink in now, that I'll never again spot him at a show and be able to go over and clink beers with him and get that always warm, friendly smile. I didn't get the chance to get to know Adrian very well, but I can't imagine him ever being anything less than that warm and friendly guy who always made you feel like you had known him for ages. One of the things that really stands out to me is his overwhelming generosity, it seems like he was always up for sharing his knowledge or privileges with everyone because it was just in his nature to do so. He was really one of the rare breed of genuinely nice, selfless people that are so hard to come by. That and his happy, silly attitude and good-natured teasing... At the Carcass show: Adrian - Hey there, Solarfall! me - Hi Bunnyman! *both clink beers* Adrian - Hey so did you see T-Rab yet? me - Huh... Adrian - Yeah y'know, T-Rab is here, didn't you see him? me - Uh, wait wha... Adrian - I saw him outside! me - Adrian, if you're pulling my leg.. Adrian - He was looking for you, it's a surprise! me - Omg! Really?! Adrian - Nah I'm just pulling your leg.

I only had the pleasure of meeting MPB once at a show... It was a quick "Hey your MPB!" What's up? I'm 02waster, Dan." But from looking at all of the pictures, and reading all of the stories, I sure wish I had known him... Rest In Peace Metal Brother...

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I remember a few years back we went to Slayer/In Flames/Soulfly with MPB and ecwfan666. We were in the parking lot of Tim Horton's and Satan gave MPB some Candlemass vinyl that he found in our basement. We didn't want it and we thought Adrian might want it. He was so happy to have this vinyl and he gave Satan a big hug and said "Thanks BITCH!" to me. It just reminded me how happy he was with his vinyl.
Nothing beats the time he and ecwfan666 went fishing in a dumpster at his building for vinyl....
Adrian calls me:
MPB: "Hey bitch, I got some awesome vinyl" Me: "oh yeah, where?" (procedes to tell me dumpster story) Me: "you're nuts!" MPB: "no way, those idiots were throwing out some awesome stuff....I got Neil Diamond...." Me: "NEIL DIAMOND??????"

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I remember when I was haning out with MPB in TO at some point. He was on MSN with Medusa and told here that Protag was mugged and was killed (or something like that). She actually believed him, until I told him that the joke wasn't cool and he told her that it was a joke. He was afraid I was going to kick his ass for making that joke.
