I spent some time with him at a lot of shows, but the trips to Milwaukee Metalfest (two occasions) and New years eve a few years back in Toronto will be my best memories of Adrian. One helluva metal brother.

I really don't know what to say. This is just so sudden and unexpected. I'm still having a hard time believing this.

Unfortunately this was not just a bad dream when I woke up this morning...

He gave us our first show 5 years ago and had been a encouraging presence ever since. He will be sorely missed. His pep talks were one of the things I looked forward to every time i went to a show. He was always looking to help out and give advice. Good guy all around. He was one of most bright personalities I've met in metal and his mag fucking kicked ass. The world is a shittier place without him. He will be remembered.

I remember those abandoned motel ones...some people were saying, "What kind of place did you stay at?"

When I got to work this morning, I had a package from Adrian for my birthday (mine is the day before his). It was awesome and sad all at the same time.

I'm sitting here thinking about him, and despite never actually meeting him personally, it saddens me that he's gone.

He was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and there isn't anyone more thoughtful. I remember five months after he made a thread about it, he PM'd me to remind me of the release of Jarboe's new album. I hadn't even remembered he made a thread about it.

He did that a couple times, promoting The End Records and reminding me of when cool albums were coming out, or his posts about savings codes.

There's few times I actually mourn someone when they die, but I mourn MPB. He actually brought something positive to this world. That's a rare thing these days.

I'm sorry for all of you who knew him better than I did, I can only imagine how this must feel.

We didn't get any closer... Figure zombies would walk out of that thing or something.

I went to check my mail after reading the news here yesterday, and there was a promo package from him in the mailbox. That felt so weird.

Ahhh Man!! I Just found out about this..... This really took me by surprise...

Before Adrian moved to New York, we would get together once a month at Yonge & Eg for wings and beers. We would talk metal forever. He was such a great guy.

I miss him.

Thinking about his hurried, frequent calls.

Adrian: So how far are you from the hotel? I'm waiting here.

Me: Uh, we're about 2 hours away.

Adrian: So you'll be here in a couple hours?

Me: Uh, yeah.

Adrian: Ok, see you then.

15 minutes later, the phone rings

Adrian: So what are you doing?

Me: Uh, we're still driving.

Adrian: So how far away are you?

I log onto Facebook yesterday and see all this RIP Adrian stuff and I'm like What the fuck?? Must be a joke, then check here to see whats up? Really fucked up stuff. Drank many a beer with the man over the past several years at shows. I was thinking to myself Adrian was probly the person within the Metal Community I had met and kept in constant touch with the longest (since he interviewed my old band in Chronicles of Chaos in 1995) .

Wow...just... WOW! I cannot believe what I've just read. I will certainly miss Adrian. Just like what was said earlier... I met him through the Board and at a show about 6 or 7 years ago. One of the nicest guys I've ever met, who always made ya laugh, and always made sure ya had a good time up in Toronto, revealing his favorite haunts for vinyl, and just showing us the city and introducing us to so many great people.

Deanna and I are greatly sorry about this news and wish our condolences for Renee and Ad's family. I am extremely heavy-hearted now.

I had a rough sleep last night and he's in my thoughts today, one of my fave pics of Adrian.

What a wonderful testament to Mr. Bromley that he touched so many lives in such a positive way.
