Well, like I was--- Adrian: Just hold on, I need to finish typing this email I was working on while I called you. Me: ... *in the background I can hear Adrian saying the words to himself as he types* *1 minute later* Me: Dude, I'm not going to sit here and listen to you type. Adrian: Oh, yeah, go ahead. *I talk for 30 seconds about what is new* Adrian: What was that? I wasn't listening to you man. Me: Never mind. So why did you call? Adrian: Just to see what's new. Me: ... Adrian: So guess what I got in yesterday? Me: I don't know. Adrian: Guess! Me: I give up. Adrian: I got in the new CD by ____. It's awesome! Do you want me to play you a bit over the phone? Me: No, I would rather hear it fresh rather than a brief clip over a bad connection. Adrian: Just listen. Me: *sigh* *Adrian drops receiver, and in the background I can hear him fumbling to get the CD queued to his favorite part, which usually takes about 3 minutes.* *plays half of a second, then stops playing it* Adrian: Are you listening? Me: Yes. But I can barely hear any-- *resumes playback, although all I can hear is fuzzy static and Adrian yelling at his cat, occasionally yelling towards the telephone asking me if I am still listening, even though he can't hear whether I say "yes" or "no"* Adrian: So what did you think? Me: I could barely hear anything. Adrian: Yeah, it's an awesome album. So what's new? Me: Nothing since the last time that you asked. Adrian: Cool. Well I have to go, but I'll give you a call in a couple of days. *he calls me 30 minutes later* Me: Hello? Adrian: Heeyyy, what's new? Me: Well-- ### I talked to Adrian 4-5 times a week minimum. We spent a lot of time over the last several years planning out and implementing a strategy for Unrestrained! magazine. He was extremely excited by where things were going and the fact that, by early next year, he would be on track to accomplish some major goals related to the magazine. I wish that he could have seen that day. I wish that I could have seen him see that day... Sometimes we'd chat 2-3 times a day. There was once, right around "crunch time" for a new issue, when he called me no less than 9 times. Each call was between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. He will be missed. I never realized how damn quiet my telephone is without him to dial my number.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
Horrible and shocking news. Adrian was one of the nicest and most enthusiastic people I've had the pleasure of meeting over the years. My condolences go out to his family and friends... now is the time to pull together and be there for each other even more than ever before.

I'd have to say from friends here that I've talked to I think he told ALL of us!

This one is great cause it has Lord Shatnas Whorebanger in it, damn that dude was awesome! Medusa you should tell folks here about the practical joke Adrian pulled on us while we were still on the road to Toronto for Day of the Exquinox. That was hilarious!

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
This is the only pic I have of Adrian. Right after he insisted that he take one of Sarah and I in The End Records warehouse I insisted I get one of the 3 of us, and this horribly awkward pic is the result. Notice if you will the orange The End bag in my hand. It was full of fresh promos that Adrian had thrown in there. Without any time for answer he just kept saying "Do you have ____?" "Do you have ____?" "Do you have ____?" and tossing cds in. He had no problem with us interrupting his work day just to visit the office. I'm wondering why this one didn't turn out as crazy as all the other wonderful pics being posted. But that was an amazing day in Manhattan/Brooklyn, partially due to Adrian's generosity.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
What an overwhelming void Adrian leaves behind him. Life really is never going to be the same. For the past 13 years he's affected and infiltrated my life (like so many others' lives) in so many different ways... everyday is going mark a bittersweet reminder. Incredibly kind, generous, hilarious, accomplished, dedicated - an amazing legacy for anyone.
My first Adrian meeting was backstage at a Megadeth show where he and Gino (from Chronicles of Chaos) and I were all waiting to interview Fear Factory. It was my first real band interview and he was friendly, supportive and entertaining and continued to be so ever since. I have a few pics of my own to share - I'll add them to the growing collection as soon as I have the heart to go through them.
Thanks Noel and Winston for the information and updates. My heart goes out to Renee, Winston, Sarah, and Yosemite Sam!

Ain't it, though? After Tate posted it last spring, I wound up emailing it to a few friends who'd met Adrian over the years. It was still sitting in my sent messages folder. Glad... because that's Hall of Fame stuff, right there.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
FireFlower told me of the news earlier today - and I am still in shock very sad news. It was always a blast hanging out with Adrian. He'd always be joking around and he'd even call FireFlower and I the "Toxic Twins". I never did get the chance to hang out with him too often, but when I did, good times were definitely had... The Hamilton BBQ followed by Neuraxis at The Rockit, Northern Lights Festival (with Svardbluerag), Kareoke at The Rockit, his birthday at The Funhouse and staying over at his place thereafter with HBM. You could always count on Adrian to introduce you to all the other BraveBoarders at all the shows. He always somehow knew everybody who was there. He will be missed. Rest in Peace, Adrain

Although I only ever spoke with Adrian a couple times, and all be it, they were rather brief, he was as friendly as anyone I had ever met and had a real genuine quality to him. You will be missed dearly, I hope that your spirit is in a better place. RIP

It's in capable hands with you and the rest of the crew, so I know you'll do Adrian proud.

Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
i was so completely shocked when i heard about adrian this morning - i thought it was some kind of sick tasteless joke i'm struggling to comprehend that there's no more adrian, but it still hasn't really sunk in yet and i feel like if i head to a metal show tomorrow, i'll still bump into him and joke around with him and jimmy. lots of love and prayers to his family. i can barely imagine esp. how renee is feeling this was completely out of the blue. it won't be the same without the bunnyman around anymore. on a happier note, it's nice to see all the support from everyone. that was one dude that you just couldn't say anything bad about. here are some pics that i have from the last few years... (on stage w/ Noel at Northern Lights) yeah, that's totally right outside the stripclub ages ago, when numen was in town!
