Getting hitched tomorrow. Actually pretty excited for it...and perhaps even more so the week in Jamaica to follow it... :m:

We went very small with only 20 people and i think it was the best idea out of everything.

I saw that! Congratulations, my friend! I wish you many years of happiness, sexytimes, and awesomeness. <3

Our wedding is about 10 people, but the party later is probably 100 or so. The Matadors are playing, but as Butch Haller and the Chesterfield Ramblers. Rockabilly covers of songs, but I bet Hooch will throw in some Matadors tunes.
*edit*
I got my wedding dress for free, it's super awesome. But for the party, I have a different dress. Walked into Urban Planet on Saturday, first thing I saw, $20 sparkly off white super cute dress. When it's all said and done, hopefully we'll have only paid about 3 grand.

I am so jealous! My wedding has been a giant pain in the arse, and it's costing me a fortune. A serious fortune. An I-could-have-bought-another-house-with-this-money fortune. Went to get my dress yesterday which cost £500 and everyone's been telling me what a 'bargain' I've had. Seriously, stick wedding in front of anything and it gets ridiculous :(

Saying that.... I'm still pretty excited about it!

Oooh maaaan! Ours is still gonna cost a bit, but more like crappy used car than brand new house cost. We still have to pay the rest of the Justice of the Peace Bill, the booze, and the hall. Greg's mom is chipping in for noms, and my papa bear is paying for the band.

When's yours happening, lady?

October 19th, 200 people. Actual nightmare. Yours is fairly soon isn't it?

You know, considering how friends = guests, maybe people should be crowd-sourcing the funds for their weddings, rather than get gifts.

I've been to a couple of weddings now where they crowd source the honeymoon.

We're registered with the national DIY shop

Also snagged this thing along with four books that go with it. $3 for all of it. Not bad considering how much it retails for.

Teaching a lesson to one of our employees. He forgot about a thousand dollars worth of gear in the shop when he left here yesterday, and called me in a panic saying that it's not in his truck. He has no clue that he forgot them here. He's gonna shit his pants when I hand him the bill for a grand, but he'll never make that mistake again when I tell him what really happened and tear up the bill. I almost feel bad. Almost

Truth. Makeouts have short shelf lives.

I got a phone call this morning from a really close friend from BC who's moving to Ontario soon! She's the only person from BC that I still talk to regularly, and I've only seen her once (for a couple hours, at that) since I moved back here. I'm really, really fucking happy that she'll be close enough to hang out with :nana:

Duude.
Hopefully it ends up one hell of a party!

I had no idea you were getting married though.
Congrats! And Congrats to Zambonin too!!

When I get married I'll likely make my own dress, a friend has offered to do flowers, my mum will make my cake, friends will probably do music, we'll make our own beer/wine, grow our table favors, and it will probably be in a parent's back yard.
The actually act of marrying will probably be at city hall.

I also demand that I'm proposed to not with a fancy ring but with a kitten.

Being cheap is awesome.

Also, things I like:

Hitching a ride with Will of the Ancients to Montreal tomorrow because they're playing a show and spending Saturday with Corv for her birthday!! :)

My job also happens to kick a whole lot of ass right now.
I got a sweet raise, a sweet partial promotion that I'll get to do full time eventually and allows me to have complete creative control of my job, a kickass budget, the ability to travel around a bit, and the ability to work on pretty much whatever projects I want that "green" up our company on a North American scale.
I actually enjoy my job so much that I am excited to finish up production for the day to come home and work/research/plan some more.

For once in my life my hard work and initiative is actually being acknowledged, appreciated and is paying off.

Lastly, I have settled into a relationship with a guy who is pretty much the epitome of everything I look for in a partner.
I have so much love, respect, and appreciation for this man.

My health isn't great these days, but I don't even care.
My life is so wonderful.
