Yeah, but thanks to the 410 extension from Caledon to Brampton, it only takes an hour to get downtown. 1.5 hrs max if the traffic blows.

It is kind of a shithole but I have fond associations with it.

I think the 460 is a suitable venue for small DIY shows. Does not cost anything to rent it out, so you cannot really argue with that. Maybe my standards are too low or all of yours are too high but if the venue deters anyone from coming out, that's kind of silly.

The venue has made it clear that a considerable portion of our local scene is not welcome there.

sfm shows are banned, as are technically any bands disliked by kensington ARA members for anti-judeo-christian stances, including covers of bands with those beliefs.. Like GBK for example....... the discussion that followed would lead one to believe that no hatred or blasphemy is to take place in this venue. IE no real metal bands.

I don't want ignite a whole debate here, so I'll keep my mouth shut about what Northern Torment just mentioned. But this is not a black metal show at all, barely passing as a metal show for that matter, so I don't think any of what you mentioned applies to this gig.

This is one month away from happening.
