I thought I was going to make it up for this to see Decrepit, but there is no way.

Now I'm sad.

The show was pretty good yesterday, although for some reason, Vader didn't play for one hour.

Makes no sense.

I've seen Vader headline 4 times - twice was under an hour, and twice about 70 minutes.

They seem to be in that 50 - 70 minute comfort zone - why, I have no clue.

Well, generally, most bands that I've seen headline play for at least 70 minutes, and it felt weird that Vader played for less than one hour.

Vader played for 58 minutes last night and they were great. First time I saw them live in about 10 years and I loved every second of it. Decrepit Birth were impressive too. They have an absolutely fantastic front man. I had only heard them in passing before but they were great.

Cheers to Warbringer for being troopers and playing a man down. When their drummer got denied entry into Canada, one of their guitarists hopped on the drum kit and went for it anyway.

The Amenta and Augury were excellent too. Augury gave me a kiddie shirt for my 6 year old son after they saw him wearing a Voivod shirt on hellbound.ca! Very cool!

Vader is such a solid band. Brutal and groovy, I enjoyed this set more so than the last time I saw them at the Reverb (and this made up for being sick and missing that gig at the OHouse).

All the bands were good but aside from Vader I give the highest marks to The Amenta (and their crazy frontman) and Augury.

Two farfinschnukens up for The Mod Club too. Best experience there so far.

I came in during Warbringer, who I wasn't into. Decrepit Birth were actually surprisingly really fucking good, I loved their new songs, they sound so much like Death, enjoyed them way better than last time I saw them at El Mocambo. Vader were fucking awesome as usual and really HEAVY!!!! , their set was way too short though.

P.S. I really should have kept my hair long just for this concert.
