I didn't know Scott Kelly did guest vocals on Crystal Skull by Mastodon. That was a nice surprise.

I might lose some points for this, but I think South of Heaven is my absolute favorite Slayer album.

No shame in that. All of Slayer's output up to and including Seasons is completely awesome, IMO.

Next to Reign in Blood and maybe Seasons in the Abyss, it is my favorite Slayer album.

Put this on my list of bands that I just don't get...

Clutch

Everytime I put on the Music Choice Metal Channel, they play this song...never will understand how people go ga-ga over this band.

*shrugs*

Same. They are coming through here next month and it's rare for any remotely metal bands to really tour through here, but I'm still passing.

I hope he's a girl. Yeah, my fav is a tie between RiB and DI, followed by SNM. Except for a few songs on each, I never really got into HA, SoH and SithA for some reason.

I've listened to so much Clutch, but I can only really seem to find them enjoyable to listen to if I'm wasted. And if I'm wasted, I'd rather just listen to something else, anyways.

I feel ya, dude. I know that they're something that I should dig, but holy fuck, I just cannot take 'em. I've never been a fan and everything I've heard leaves me bored as hell. Not to mention how much I hate Neil Fallon's voice.

Given all of the stuff I listen to (stoner, doom, heavy rock, psych, etc..) I should be a fan. Nope.

The solo section in Steven Wilson's "The Watchmaker" (4:41 - 5:59) is the exact same chord progression as the solo section in "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". It's even in the same key. I wonder if that's on purpose. :?
