Here is a killer, funked up, funk rock, jazz fusion band that I use to do some bookings for. Burnt McMelba Toast, hailed out of the "Quad Cities" - Davenport & Bettendorf, IA. Rock Island & Moline, IL. This is truly a fantastic album of very high musicianship & strong writing abilites! If you like to funk it up, then this is heaven! From 1996, here is Burnt McMelba Toast, "Burnt McMelba Toast" album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZYD8O-26ZQ

Here is a 21st century throw back to 70's funky fusion. If you like Jeff Beck's "Blow By Blow" & "Wired," you should enjoy "Cosmic Farm" album, by Cosmic Farm! The players: Craig Erickson - Guitar Rob Wasserman - Six string & upright Bass T Lavitz - Keyboards Jeff Sipe - Drums From 2005, here is Cosmic Farm, "Cosmic Farm." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeXwdEUOP6E

Re: Jimmy Jammers Jam Joint: Album of the Day
Here is, in my opinion, the best post 2000 heavy southern rock album released. These boys give ZZ Top, Blackfoot, & Lynyrd Skynyrd a run for their money. The real shit! From 2005, here is Taildragger, "Skeptictank." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLNiB8yf248

Re: Jimmy Jammers Jam Joint: Album of the Day
Thanks! Yepper. There is tons of Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, & Van Halen albums on youtube, but a little obscure act like Raging Slab, who was lucky to sell 100,000 albums in their career is banned because of copyright infrigment. You'd think the stupids fucks would realise this is just streaming, & people after listening, might by CD's & MP3's...oh well, so much for copyright people looking after the artists, or who ever owns their music best interest!

Re: Jimmy Jammers Jam Joint: Album of the Day
4 1/2 Stars = Minor Masterpiece Lance Lopez has the standard Hendrix fixation (at least on this album), but he sure can TAKE IT SOMEWHERE! Not only is he carrying the tourch of Hendrix, but all those that followed. Lopez is a killer funk/metal player & writer! If you dig Robin Trower, Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Kings X, Pat Travers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Gales, & Funkadelic! Then this disc is bliss! A true hidden treasure waiting to be digged up by those willing to be rewarded, & yes, "Wall of Soul," kicks major butt! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBwpsITaP6I

Re: Jimmy Jammers Jam Joint: Album of the Day
It looks like youtube is going to unblock some of my video albums. So if it seems I'm repeating myself, it's for good reason. Please let me know if you can't hear this album, or any, for that matter. Thanks! From 1977 & 1978, here is a double, my favorite album of all time, Pat Travers, "Putting It Straight," & "Heat In The Street." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf2IAW6c8S4

Youtube is hitting me with infringement. I'll have to start a new account, but not today. From 1980, here is Van Halen, "Women & Children First." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpVCYA4xni8
