Re: I need some new power metal
You haven't heard Hammerfall?
The song with Cronos (from Venom) singing is the best!
And....could we be seeing a turn in style with new WOTA music?

Re: I need some new power metal
Ive heard Hammerfall.
The list is not 100% complete. I was just naming bands off the top of my head.
Will of the Ancients have always had a power metal influence. You will see a bit more of that in the new stuff. But you will also see more black metal and more death metal. The only thing we have turned down is the folk influence. Not really by choice, just happened like that.

Re: I need some new power metal
Check out Hibria's 2 albums, "Defying The Rules" and "The Skull Collectors".
I'm partial to anything Toby Knapp/Michael Grant related so check out: Onward - Evermoving, Reawaken, The Neverending Sun Crescent Shield - The Last of My Kind, The Stars of Never Seen
And finally, check out Gaia Epicus. May be tough to get into at first but it'll grow on you. Albums are Satrap, Victory & Damnation.

Just recently got turned on to them so far I only have 2 albums by them, 2008's The Arrogance of Ignorance & Mirror Palace from 2007. TAoI is more varied while MP is more apt to make you headbang, I'd recommend both really but for different reasons. They have 4 other full lengths also & I'd like to get my hands on them but they are pretty difficult to find. They started as a straight up black metal band. The two I own though are easy to find.

Angel Dust are one of my favorite Power Metal bands. I'd suggest starting with the Of Human Bondage record if you haven't heard them already.
